Going out with my boots on
For some reason, this reminds me of one of my nephews. Maybe it's all of the cowboy stuff? Who knows.

Lance even admitted- he likes mine better. Not just for the sweet handles, but because it goes fast.

Cooking Experiment
About two weeks ago, I flew down to Mexico and missed a few days of school. Thankfully, my teachers were all understanding and some even let me make up the work I would miss. I have a cooking lab on Friday mornings, and usually the teacher will only let you miss if you are (a) sick/injured or if (b) you have a University-excused absence (I need to figure out how to get one of those).
Thankfully, cooking in lab is great because if something doesn't look right, you can ask the teacher or one of her assistants for help. Unfortunately, I only had Google. To make up the lab, I decided to make German pancakes. It sounded easy, but it was disastrous.

This is what it's suppose to look like....
And this is what mine looked like.
Needless to say, it tasted pretty wonderful. But that is why I always go to cooking lab.
And while I was using Lance's camera, I stole some of his pictures. Aren't they cute together?

Uh oh
Have you ever had one of those weeks where you can't get enough of a certain food? First yogurt, then cheese sticks, fruit snacks...well, this past week I've been practically obsessed with no-bake cookies. No idea why. I'd like to blame and thank my former roomie Emily for introducing them to me.
My favorite recipe is at http://allrecipes.com//Recipe/no-bake-cookies-i/Detail.aspx
I love it because you can adjust how big of a batch to make, and it will do the math for you, although I usually double the peanut butter.
And when you turn pro, making 'em takes about 4 minutes. Sure, they take up room in the freezer, but at the rate I'm going through them, that's not a problem.

I love you
Maybe I should back up. Last night, I was on Facebook, and I noticed my aunt had updated her status- "so sad that my mother-in-law passed away last night." Usually, it wouldn't be that big of a problem, until I realized that my aunt married into the family. My grandma had just died.
So now, I hate Facebook. And I don't know what to do anymore.

I love you Grandma.

The best picture ever
Be warned...do NOT ask Lance to open his eyes. This is what will happen. Complete and utter terror.

Ok ok, I'll admit, I have several obsessions. While the newest one may be blogging, there's more. For example...

About a week ago, my sister-in-law posted this great, hopelessly addicting website about how to build your own furniture, which is amazing. Every time Lance and I go to the store to buy furniture (he pretends to hate shopping, but he loves it) he doesn't want to buy anything because he says it's ridiculously overpriced. After looking at this website, I completely agree. Because if she can build furniture for $50 to $150 per piece, why can't I?
This first project looks ridiculously simple, but I'm blonde and not really coordinated. So it can't hurt to start small right? Really, really, really small.
Plus, doesn't it just look adorable?

And then, if I feel up to the task, I'll make this for the living room, but jazz it up a little. And get rid of the stuffed animals.

Thoughts? Ideas? Colors?
